Hi I have just drilled out, removed and retapped 4 sheared off glowplugs ,on fitted new ones,there seems to be no power supply feeding the newly fitted plugs despite the glowplug light still flashing I suspect the glowplug relay but having viewed some 2nd hand ones advertised on eBay I am unable to locate similar on the car.Can anyone shed any

In a nutshell, common glow plug problem are slow starting and complete failure to start. Once the vehicle does start, missing, rough idle, hesitation, and lots of white smoke until the engine warms. If you have a four cylinder, one glow plug bad will cause slight hard starting and a miss. Two will cause a very hard start and very rough operation. When you first turn the key ON, the Wait to Start light should come on for about 10 seconds. When it goes out, start the engine. If you leave the key ON without starting the engine, it will draw your batteries down rather fast, the glow plugs draw a lot of power. When you turn the key ON, the glow plugs heat up. 1999 F250 Super Duty, CC, LB 7.3L Powerstroke. Occasionally, the 30Amp fuse that protects the glowplug heating function will blow. Usually just after or during engaging the glowplug heating function. If the 30 Amp fuse is blown, the Wait to Start light will not illuminate when you place the key in the ON position.
